About

I love to write and I love to debate. If I read or discuss something that turns my world on its head, then and only then am I satisfied. Questioning fosters deeper insights into the mysteries and intricacies of this world. Debating lays bare the ability to manipulate truth to serve any purpose and trains us to use critical judgment when constructing meaning from the media bombardment in the western world.

I do apologise for the crudity of this blog. However, it is my first attempt at blogging. I was always developmentally delayed compared to my peers – so it should be no surprise that I am a few years late on the blogging scene.

The picture chosen is a photo I took in Soweto in 2006. It is the memorial for the Soweto Uprising against policies of the National Party government and the apartheid regime in 1976. You may recognise the photo plaque on the left. This photo of Hector Pieterson, taken by Journalist, Sam Nzima sparked outrage and caused an international outcry against apartheid.
